Supply Chain Planner
TX - Irving
SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNER OVERVIEW:
As a Buyer/Planner you’ll be an important part of what works.
You will be responsible for all supply chain functions in support of the business unit including, but not limited to, planning, purchasing and inventory control and ensuring the maintenance of high service levels by planning scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials to meet demand.
Your days may include:
- Purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies
- Forecasting and managing inventory levels using current planning tools
- Developing proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with supply availability
- Resolving and communicating supply issues to customers and leaders
- Validating and meeting monthly inventory days of supply
- Managing intercompany transfers and rebalancing inventory to avoid overstock, excess and obsolete inventory
- Resolving invoice pricing and receiving discrepancies
- Conducting PO follow-up and carrying out expedited supply requests
- Processing damage claims and returns
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Recommending and implementing process improvements

In this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Logistics
- 1-3 years strategic sourcing/sourcing analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years’ experience in inventory management
- CSCP or CPIM certification a plus
- Ability to work cross functionally with team members from finance, accounting, sales operations and IT
- Understanding of overall materials flow and Supply Chain functions
- MRP software knowledge is preferable
- Strong negotiation skills
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Inventory analysis proficiency; Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Change agent, strategic thinker, and influencer
