Merchant Process Analyst
NY - Plainview
Primarily responsible for analyzing and monitoring variances data and identifying potential problems from various merchant processors. Setup and processing merchant credit card terminals, revenue posting and proactive error detection analysis. Responsible for timely processing of credit card revenue from various merchant processors and ensuring they are posted to the proper location. Communicating with merchant processor when errors are encountered.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and research variance report data and identifying potential problems and make recommendations
- Ensure proper merchant account setup
- Monitor and review location revenue
- Retrieve detailed revenue report from merchant website
- Establish and document process flows
- Assist in creation and documentation of policies and procedures for credit card terminal process
- Interact with various personnel throughout the company (all levels)
- Respond to inquiries with third party merchant service firms
Required Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, comprehend and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence such as individual and small group emails
- Mathematical skills
- Ability to apply understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
- Standard Microsoft Office skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail a must
- AS400 knowledge

- Long periods of sitting
- Telephone and computer work
- May require occasional heavy lifting of boxes
